Neth on the blizz forums says they’re planning some form of faction transfer. BRB male undead rogue!
It’s a pretty huge change and there’s a number of issues that I’m curious to see them solve. The official AJ thread about it has some ideas (and a whole lot of whining). The way it’s worded makes it sound like there will be a 1-to-1 mapping (a la Orb of Deception) but I have no idea how that will work with class restrictions. It’s also going to put the balance microscope on racials even more; could potentially be a huge inadvertent warlock nerf if everyone goes undead.
If they also allow race changes within your faction I’m going to have some tough decisions to make. Anyway, no point speculating until we have a bit more info.
They’re gonna have to come up with some sort of Troll-only AIDS epidemic lore to explain the sudden disappearance of an entire race.
The engineering changes look pretty fun, though they don’t affect arena at all. Except possibly the bomb-belt, depending on how it’s implemented? The quality-of-life stuff is good though!
