I had the opportunity to play some 3s with a fury warrior/hunter on the weekend. I wasn’t planning on it being a long term thing, which is good, because it taught me some important lessons about people who randomly whisper you in Ironforge – if they don’t have a network of friends to go to for teams, there’s probably a reason for that.

Anyway, they weren’t terrible players by any stretch of the imagination, I guess I just set my expectations too high. Especially for the hunter, who had a 2k+ team – upon interrogation it turned out to be a horrible gimmick 2dps with a shadowpriest. Obscura put it aptly: “carried by explosive shot”.

(And I still can’t keep a hunter alive over a rogue+anything. Maybe I need to trawl WCM for some pally/hunter 2v2 videos.)

My teams in general are a bit of a mess. I played some 2s with Endarl’s holy paladin alt to get him some points for the week, but rogue/paladin frustrates me even with an experienced paladin, and he hasn’t played holy arena at all before.

I have to say though: it’s fun meeting new people and talking shit with them on vent, even if some of them are wacky Floridians.
